Well done to Lily Horne in year 8, who donated a huge 16 inches of her hair to the Little Princess Trust. The charity provides real hair wigs to children and young people that have lost their own hair due to cancer.
Lily said:
“I donated 16 inches of my hair to the Little Princess Trust to make young people who have lost their hair to cancer feel better about themselves. I also did it because my Grandad, who also had cancer, passed away a few weeks ago and it felt like a good thing to do.
I didn’t like my new hair at first because I wasn’t used to it but now I love it. I felt very happy that I could put smiles on young people’s faces, even though they are going through a very rough time. “
