A year 7 student from Tuxford Academy has enjoyed success this week in a regional archery competition.
Harry first discovered archery at a ‘have a go’ session at Newark Castle Archers and went on to complete a beginners course in May 2018. He now shoots with the club regularly throughout the year, both at Magnus Academy and Newark Rugby Club, as well as taking part in monthly county training in Nottingham.
He competes in archery competitions and has managed to secure second place in the last two he has taken part in. This week, Harry was awarded second place in the under 14s category at the Nottinghamshire Archery Society Indoor Championships, where he beat his previous personal best score by 49 points.
We wish Harry sustained success as he continues to develop his archery skills and look forward to hearing about his future achievements.
