Today, on Armistice Day, assemblies are taking place throughout the day with all year groups. Each assembly has observed a minute’s silence to honour and remember those who have died in conflicts or other tragedies.
Mr Nichol created a thought-provoking presentation including details of conflicts throughout the world, stories of fallen soldiers whom Mr Nichol knew personally and the history of the UK’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The assemblies also included a drama performance and a dance duet by two A level dance students. A moving version of Amazing Grace was performed by members of the school choir.
