Year 7 student, Beatrice, recently went to see the new production of Oliver! in London’s West End. She is a cast member in the academy’s production of Oliver! due to take place 16-19 July 2025.
Bea was lucky enough to meet Oscar, an ex-Tuxford student at the stage door after the show. On the night that Bea watched the show, Oscar was understudy for Fagin. He normally plays the role of Mr Bumble.
Beatrice said, ‘I loved watching Oliver! Oscar’s performance as Fagin was amazing!’
Oscar chatted to Beatrice and asked after his favourite music teacher Mr Evason, who still teaches music at Tuxford Academy. He even commented that he first played Fagin in a Tuxford Academy production of Oliver!
