The wellbeing team has launched a brand new newsletter that aims to raise awareness of health and wellbeing at Tuxford Academy. Every issue will be packed full of tips to look after your wellbeing and that of others, with regular slots on mindfulness and how to make better use of screen time.
In the first issue we introduce students to the wellbeing team and look ahead to the ‘Time to Talk’ day in February. We are lucky enough at Tuxford Academy to have our own counsellor who takes referrals from staff and students. Additionally some of our year 12s are being trained as ‘peer educators’ to support younger students who feel more comfortable opening up to their peers than adults.
