Today some of our year 9 and year 10 students are taking part in the prestigious Intermediate Maths Challenge organised by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT).
This challenge encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. The problems on the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge are designed to make students think. Most are accessible, yet still challenge those with more experience.
To recognise the highest performers in the challenge, participants who are in the top 50% will be awarded bronze, silver and gold certificates.
Good luck to all students involved!
