Student Isaac is a member of our astronomy club and, in his own time, has fixed his telescope and taken these incredible photos of the moon and Jupiter. He is planning to head back out on a clear night this week in the hope of getting some pictures of Saturn.
He also created a to-scale diagram of the planets in the solar system on a huge roll of paper, which will be rolled down one of our academy bridges during lunchtime today.
This is an excellent example of a student going above and beyond in their learning, and demonstrating a real determination to further their studies. Isaac will receive a character award for his brilliant efforts.
If your child would like to join the Tuxford Academy astronomy club, please ask them to see Miss Tivey.
