On Friday 14 July, we welcomed Belle to the academy. She is a 16 year old singer/songwriter who has just completed her GCSEs. She came to perform her song ‘Beautiful to me’ which she wrote about a close friend of hers who was made to feel unworthy and unconfident. Belle wanted to show her how special she was, and let others know that everyone is worthy and not to let the opinions of others affect you.
Belle has been touring schools across the country to talk about the impact of mental health and cyberbullying. She writes songs based on her experiences and they have a strong message of kindness and hope. Our students thoroughly enjoyed her uplifting music.
