Last Friday, a group of Post 16 artists and photographers visited the Usher Gallery in Lincoln, where they completed an ARTiculation course delivered by the National Gallery. ARTiculation is a national education programme for students aged between 14 and 23, aimed at championing the arts and empowering young people to look at, understand and present the wider visual world.

Students were invited to choose a work of art or an artefact of their choice from the gallery. They then researched the piece, interviewed experts and then delivered a talk about the work with a gallery audience.

This was a fantastic opportunity for students to ‘look, think and speak’ about art to gain confidence in themselves and their future. All of our students were absolutely amazing. Their teachers were extremely proud of them. Well done to all involved.
