The modern foreign languages department held a celebration event for some of our year 7 and 8 students on Wednesday 14 June.
Eighty two students and their parents and carers attended to celebrate their achievements in languages. Students were able to share their books and work with their parents while having the opportunity to chat with their languages teacher. There was a fabulous selection of sweet treats and drinks, and some wonderful entertainment from some of our talented students.
Some of our A level languages students attended to support the event and promote languages. Mrs Wright, who organised the event, welcomed everyone in the main hall followed by a speech from Miss Vause, head of languages and Mr Hardy, principal.
The event was very well received by all, with one comment reading ‘The language department really do care and appreciate the children as much as they value their teachers’.
