Ten post 16 students took part in the prestigious Senior Challenge organised by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) in November. The challenges are designed to broaden learning from the maths classroom through intriguing and demanding problem solving questions. Impressively, Jimmy and Josh (both year 13) were awarded gold certificates for exceptional scores, Oskar (year 12) collected a silver certificate. Isaac, Emma, Alex, Nathan and Hannah (all year 12) all received bronze awards.

Then in January, thirty students from years 7 and 8 were invited to take part in an additional challenge, celebrating 25 years of UKMT. In particular, we extend our congratulations to Lawrence (year 7), Clayton and Jack (both year 8) who achieved the highest scores in their year groups.

February saw a group of year 9 and 10 students compete in the Intermediate challenge, and we look forward to receiving the results! Well done to all students involved.
