Thank you to Leah Lam, an ex Tuxford student, who came back to the academy to talk to year 12 students interested in pursuing a career in medicine.
Leah left Tuxford Academy in 2017 and is now a qualified, practicing doctor specialising in paediatrics in Harrogate.
Leah explained the process of applying to medical school and also did an interesting session on how to apply sutures to close a wound.
We are very proud of Leah’s achievements and thank her for dedicating time to help and inspire our post 16 students.
