About Matt
My main reason for becoming a governor was to help improve the communication link between the staff at Tuxford Academy and the governing committee. My specific aim is to help improve staff and student wellbeing.
The role allows an opportunity to raise any general concerns or information that the staff may have. This is vitally important as any issues can be then discussed with the governing committee at meetings. After working at Tuxford Academy for almost eight years, I feel that my experience working in the academy is invaluable when it comes to the aim of improving and maintaining a pleasant working environment for staff and students.
