About Lyndsey
I am a mum of three boys who all attend Tuxford Academy.
I currently work with Leicestershire Police as an intelligence researcher and have previously spent several years working in the Civil Service. My work provides me with an ever-evolving wide knowledge base and skillset that will support me in my role as an academy governor, primarily around safeguarding and multi-agency cooperation.
As someone who has several disabilities and illnesses, working to help support and provide opportunities for others, particularly at a young age, is something I am extremely passionate about.
I have taken up responsibilities with the charity Therapy Dogs Nationwide and also have my Labrador now passed as a therapy dog so she may be in the school or wider trust sometime soon!
I am excited to contribute to the role and the challenges that it will bring, working together to deliver the best for the students and families at the school.
