At the academy last week, Dr Leah Lam presented and answered questions from our MedSoc year 12/13 students, who are considering medical careers.

Leah is a former Tuxford Academy student (2010-2017). She is currently completing her foundation year 2 placement as a fully qualified doctor after studying medicine at the University of Sheffield.

Leah spoke about how she applied for, studied, and worked in medicine and the value of work experience to students.

The session was invaluable to our students, and the insights she shared about her studies and career were a real inspiration for the audience of aspiring medics to hear.
