Today Tuxford Academy hosted a dance festival for key stage 1 children from East Markham Primary, Elkesley Primary, Rampton Primary and Dunham-on-Trent CofE Primary Schools.
Our year 10 GCSE dance students opened the festival with two stunning routines. Then pupils from the primary schools were taught some dance moves by our year 10 and 12 sports leader students. The children then performed these dances themselves. This was a fantastic opportunity for pupils from local primary schools to come into our academy and learn some dance techniques and gain confidence. Each primary pupil who took part was awarded a certificate.
