Callum, a year 12 student is in the running to be the next Deputy Youth Mayor of Bassetlaw Youth Council. The apolitical role, that runs for two years, aims to promote a positive image of young people and to build bonds with the local community.
Callum would like to see improvement in the following areas, that he sees as a barrier to opportunity for young people:

• The improvement in public transport for everyone
• Mental health support
• Expansion and improvement of Free School Meals

Young people aged 11-19 can vote for Callum to represent them as Deputy Mayor of Bassetlaw Youth Council and read his manifesto here . Voting closes soon on 17 May and we hope that the Tuxford Academy community will support him in the upcoming election.

We are proud of Callum’s enthusiasm and dedication to serving the local community and wish him all the best in the election.
