This week, our year 11 geography students are attending virtual sessions with an ambassador from Royal Geographical Society.
Our official RGS ambassador is none other than Tuxford alumni Hannah Barnett, who is currently in her second year of studying Geography at University of Exeter. Hannah is vice president of the university’s geography society and planning to spend her third year studying at the University of Sydney, Australia.
Hannah engaged students with a motivational and interesting presentation, which she will repeat on Friday for the other half of the year.
The presentation focused on future pathways relating to geography, such as A Level and university courses, but also provided general advice for students making their future choices.
We are incredibly proud of all that Hannah has achieved since leaving the academy and want to extend our thanks to her for sharing her wisdom with our students.
