During the first week of the Easter holidays, forty seven Tuxford Academy students enjoyed a ski trip to Andorra accompanied by Mr Atherton, Mr Stephen, Mrs Hewitt, Miss Radford and Mrs Thomas.
Mr Atherton, ski trip leader, commented, ‘The students were absolutely fantastic, brilliant behaviour, resilience and helpfulness; we had no problems at all. We were very proud to have been able to take them away on the first trip abroad for a number of years.’
The students travelled to and from Andorra by bus and had a good week of skiing. The students were given fun awards throughout the trip and on the final day, a set of final awards were given to students including best skier, most improved skier, best attire, trooper award and muppet of the week!
Mr Stephen said, ‘Their persistence on the slopes was amazing and their behaviour, even with a broken down bus and a 5 hour delay at Calais, was brilliant. We are already looking forward to the adventure of 2027.’
Thank you to Mrs Hough and Mrs Ashworth for helping to organise the ski trip and to the teaching staff who looked after the students and gave them such a memorable experience.
