It was wonderful to welcome year 6 students last week, who will be joining Tuxford Academy in September!
Students spent four days meeting teaching staff, getting to know the school and taking part in various lessons and activities supported by existing Tuxford Academy students. This was a great opportunity for students to meet new people and to have a taste of school life at Tuxford before the summer holidays.
Thank you to our transition leader, Miss Hethershaw, head of year, Miss Peel and pastoral lead, Miss Teece, who have all worked tirelessly with primary schools and parents to ensure that the transition process is as smooth as possible.
We have a uniform fitting event on Wednesday 23 July 2025 4-6pm. We welcome students to the academy to try on uniform and receive advice from our uniform supplier.
We hope that the year 6 students were inspired and excited by this next step to secondary education and we look forward to them joining us in September!
