On the hottest, sunniest day of the year so far, 100 students from years 7 and 8 were invited with a parent or carer into school to congratulate them on their approach to learning in MFL lessons. Our yearly celebration event saw the usual delightful cakes and drinks – though thanks to the heat, we served significantly less coffee than usual!
Staff from MFL chose a maximum of five students per class who have shown an outstanding approach to learning throughout this academic year to join us for cake and drinks as a well done for their excellence and resilience in MFL learning.
We were helped by our incredible language ambassadors, and some of them even volunteered to speak in front of nearly 200 people in the main hall about why they love what they do in MFL. They really did us proud.
Well done to everyone who was invited, you have been amazing! We could have easily invited double the number of students if we had more space (and more importantly, more cake!).
