About Richard

I have spent many years in management, with experience in the military, logistics, sales and then a not-for-profit organisation. I joined my present employer in 2009 and have developed a passion for helping to professionalize the Recruitment Industry.

I led the design and implementation of the first recruitment qualifications and apprenticeships to be accredited by the government. I now run a large team of directors and senior managers, who deliver a wide gambit of professional services from legal support, product development and delivery to stakeholder engagement and membership value propositions. In addition, and of particular interest, the team also contains an awarding organisation that assesses and examines students from level 2 (GCSE standard) to Level 5 (foundation degree standard) qualifications.

I became a governor in 2021 and I hope to have a positive influence on the academy, particularly within my areas of interest in the curriculum and post sixteen education.

I have two children at the Academy. As a parent governor, I also chair the Parent Steering Group which meets once a term to discuss key areas that parents would like to see the school address.
