In July, we donated unwanted bicycles to the National Police Aid Charity and the bikes were collected by volunteers from Tuxford Academy.
We are pleased to hear that the bicycles donated have been repaired, and have safely arrived in the Gambia where they are being used by students at secondary schools.
We are pleased to support the work of the NPAC who sent a container of useful equipment to support the learning of students. Donations included 355 school stacking chairs, 16 bicycles, school cupboards, school uniform, sports clothing, shoes and toys.
A representative for NPAC said, ‘A huge thank you. The bicycles will be very much appreciated – more than you will ever know.’
