The Academy's meals service is of a biometric cashless type, granted to Nottinghamshire County Council by Engie, as part of the PFI arrangements the Academy operates under.

Students are able to purchase credits for cash for their personal accounts, ID's being derived from data obtained via fingerprint scanning.

sQuid is the online aspect of the system, enabling parents to manage payments for their children's meals away from the Academy building. A secure, personal sQuid account is linked to a bank account to enable online payments.

Parents of Year 7 students should receive a letter at the start of the academic year with personalised registration details, which can then be used to set up a sQuid account.

Students joining us at other times can obtain a letter from the kitchen management staff.

All enquiries regarding the operation of the cashless catering system and meals service should be directed to the kitchen management staff at the Academy click to email Tuxford Academy Kitchens Tel: 01777 872908 or for more information see Nottinghamshire County Council website.
