Academy revision and support groups 2018

We run subject-specific study groups and career groups throughout the year, with at least one session per day. We encourage all year 11 students to attend these support sessions as and when they need to, as they can receive extra help with tricky areas and share ideas with staff and their peers.

Dear Parent/Carer

As you are already aware, subject teachers, learning mentors and teaching assistants are offering many revision and exam preparation sessions at break, lunch and after school to support Y11 students in the run up to exams.

In order to create as many opportunities for quiet study and to maximise the resources available in school to all students, we are looking at opening the academy on a Saturday from 9am – 1pm on the following four dates. Students will have access to the LRC and refreshments will be available. We encourage as many students as possible to attend the sessions.

5th May12th May, 19th May, 9th June

In order to run the Saturday sessions, we need to gauge the amount of students wishing to attend so we can organise the amount of staff and rooms required. Please email including your child’s name and what sessions they would like to attend by 10am on Friday 27th.

If there is insufficient demand from students, we will not run the sessions. We will email to confirm this once we have student numbers.
