The reviews are in.......

After watching last night's performance of Les Miserables I felt compelled to write to you.

Having seen the London stage show several times I wasn't expecting anything close to that standard in a secondary school! HOW WRONG I WAS!

I was completely blown away by the performance, the standard of acting, singing and staging!! Amazing. There wasn't one member of your cast who didn't put their all into the performance and it was an absolute pleasure and joy to watch.

While we were impressed with the entire ensemble there were several actors who stood out.

M and Mme Thernardier- WOW you both exceeded a couple of the professional actors I have seen in London- so funny and perfectly played

Gavrouche- for such a small role you certainly made your mark - a perfect cocky Gavrouche!!

Javert- perfectly captured the straight laced Javert, great acting and singing

Marius- great vocals and played the anguish in his decision between his love and friends so well. Empty chairs and empty tables brought a tear to my eye - very well staged.

Eponine and Fantine - you two had the toughest job in my eyes because they are my favourite characters and I was blown away- you both could play on the London stage. STUNNING vocals and acting

Valjean - what can I say? Such a tough role with some of the hardest songs to sing from all the London musicals but you took it all in your stride- fantastic, phenomenal acting and singing. I couldn't believe how well you sang Bring him home!! Superb!! The London production should snap you up!!

The staging was brilliant and so well executed. (Please try to fix the microphones- it was a shame to miss out on some actors vocals)

I could go on!! I was so impressed by the whole production. The only drawback is now my son - who I brought with me - now is desperate to see the London show (not so reasonably priced as your performance- although I'd happily have paid more than double your price for your show )

Thank you for all the hard work- a brilliant evening!

Last nights performance was absolutely fantastic. So many talented actors, actresses and wonderful singers in one school. A lot of work obviously went into puting it together - well done to all involved, we were blown away.

Well done everyone it was an excellent performance tonight. You have so many talented young pupils a credit to you all

Saw the first night. Absolutely brilliant. Congratulations to all.
